Rope & Rescue School, a division of Aventuras Tierra Adentro Inc., was created in 1998 to satisfy organizations and individuals looking for technical and up-to-date expertise in rope & rescue techniques.
We are based at the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, a territory of the United States, where all safety rules and federal government regulations apply.
Both Spanish and English are the official languages, but Spanish is without a doubt the dominant. This is why our courses are given in Spanish, although universal terminology and commands are taught in both languages. This is critical in order to provide knowledge and skills for workers at heights. Safety starts with good communications and it can only be accomplished if we all talk the same language.
Our courses are based on the years of experience of our instructors who work as adventure guides, cavers, rock climbers, rescuers, riggers and industrial vertical workers. This is how we maintained the skills and up-to-date knowledge of new techniques, regulations and equipment. Knowledge never ends. Our courses are solidly based on years of application.
All courses are intense and require good physical condition. Theory classes and hands-on training are the key to well trained and thoroughly prepared students.
